How Am I Different From Other Therapists?
I believe that each person who comes to counseling is a unique individual. Because different things work for different people, I have a wide range of tools that I utilize in treatment, increasing the chance that we can find a technique or combination of tools that will help you to move along your own individual path.
Utilizing tools like neurofeedback, biofeedback, EMDR, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, I believe in approaching therapy not only from the "top-down" (if we can change how we think and talk about problems, we can create emotional / physical changes), but also from the "bottom-up" (changes in our sensations / emotions can create changes in thoughts and behaviors). This unique approach addresses problematic areas in a holistic manner, linking the mind and the body together.
